Commercial Property Solicitor

Hours:

Due to an imminent retirement, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join the team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a busy and varied caseload relating to all aspects of Commercial Property work (there may also be some residential transactions within this overall caseload)
  • Advise our clients in related matters.
  • Play an active role in the development and growth of the department and company on a regional level.

Ideally the successful candidate will have 3+ years’ PQE (although less experienced candidates will be considered), however a proven track record in the above work areas is essential.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels are necessary in conjunction with an aptitude for business development and IT

We are seeking full time secretaries for our Private Client team based in Keswick and our Residential Conveyancing team in Cockermouth.

The successful candidates will:

  • ensure correspondence and other documents are accurately and efficiently typed and dispatched, either by post, fax or e-mail;
  • time record on behalf of solicitors;
  • conduct conflict checks on first contact with prospective Clients;
  • assist in billing files;
  • communicate effectively with clients and other persons in contact with the firm, giving a good impression at all times of the firm;
  • Receive monies from clients and others, and record payments and receipts accurately;
  • Type documents and legal forms and use word processing technology and digital transcription.
